Dubai welcomes the international delegates participating in the six-day ‘FIABCI Dubai 2018’. The Emirate has earned the trust of the international community due to the unique elements that rightly position it to host some of the world’s largest events. Among these unique elements are Dubai’s strategic location between the East and West, its easy accessibility by air, its strong transportation infrastructure, its world-class hotels and hospitality offerings, its high level of security and safety, and its extensive experience in organising large international conferences.
By hosting the 69th international FIABCI Conference, which is being held for the first time in the MENA region, Dubai has achieved a new milestone in international events. This success has been achieved through the efforts and support of a number of official institutions in Dubai, including the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Emirates Airlines, and other local partners who have reinforced Dubai's position and reputation as a top global destination for hosting business events.
The International Real Estate Federation is the organiser of the FIABCI Conference. With more than 1.5 million members, it is the oldest and largest real estate association as well as the only real estate advisory body to the United Nations. FIABCI Dubai 2018 will highlight a key theme – ‘Happy Cities’ – with a world-class selection of international experts and global delegates from the real estate sector.
The International Real Estate Conference 2018 will be hosted in partnership between the International Real Estate Federation; the Dubai Real Estate Institute, Dubai Land Department's educational arm; and Dubai Business Events, the official office for the organisation of conferences in the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. The conference will further strengthen Dubai's position as an attractive investment destination and also highlight the local real estate sector, which is characterised by continuous development, innovation and the appropriate regulatory procedures.
The event is expected to attract over 1,000 real estate professionals from around 60 countries to exchange views and explore the theme of ‘Happy Cities.’
Since 1954, the International Real Estate Federation has been working closely with the United Nations. It is the only international real estate agency to act as a consultative non-governmental organisation in the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
Dubai Land Department (DLD) was established in January 1960 and has been responsible for establishing and supporting the most important real estate sector in the Middle East and the world. The department provides excellent, integrated services to all real estate stakeholders, and has also introduced the necessary legislation to ensure the regulation of the real estate sector, to encourage and manage investments, and to spread knowledge and a secure real estate culture.
DLD seeks to achieve leadership in the regional and global real estate market through its active institutions, including the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA), its regulatory arm; the Real Estate Investment Management & Promotion Centre, its investment arm; Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), its educational arm; and the Rental Disputes Centre (RDC), its judicial arm.
